Unzip before you upload — the file inside already carries the right name. Note this is plain XML; CE Scanner's own ~/CEScanner/data queue holds encrypted files, so it can't be dropped in there.

Import approval

The Course Approval PDF the Office of EMS sends when a course is approved. Pick several at once if you like. It reads the course and topic numbers, subject, valid dates, max students and CE hours granted.

What these limits mean

Valid dates: course # is usable
Students: cap across all rosters
CE hours: most one provider can get

The student count is how many different providers this app has recorded against that course and topic, from saved rosters plus the one you're building. Rosters submitted before you started using this app aren't counted.

Add the instructor to the roster automatically Appends your cert with the instructor category, the way your sample did.

Every provider's last and first name is written into <LastName> and <FirstName>. A row with no last name is flagged as an error before you can export cleanly.

How the mapping works

The filename matches what CE Scanner produces — full cert number, course number, then a MMDDYYhhmmss stamp taken at the moment you export.

Scanner auto-type scripts

For a Mac with the CE Scanner

Unzip to get the three Sign In, Course and Roster AppleScripts. Put them somewhere handy (your Desktop), open one in Script Editor and press ▶ to run it. First run, macOS asks to allow it under Privacy & Security → Accessibility. Mac only — they drive the CE Scanner, which is a Mac app.

Where your data lives

Your providers, settings and history are saved with this page, so they follow you to any device you open it on.

A backup is one JSON file holding your providers, settings and saved rosters. Use it to move everything between the online version and your own copy.
